Chapter #13

Basically the main thing in this chapter was that Sanjii died. The reason he died was because he got shot when he was riding his boat. The reason he got shot was because he didn't have an American flag on his boat and they thought he was a Japanese. This chapter was sad.

Chapter #12

Tommi and his family were in there house relaxing and all of a sudden a couple of army men came to there house and told them to kill there birds. So Tommi went in his house and grabbed two knifes. Tommi and his gram pa had to kill there birds. This chapter was interesting.

Chapter #11

Tommi was in there house and he saw all that Japanese air planes flying by bomb the island. He was nervous that the would bomb his house. Tommi's uncle waved a Japanese flag last chapter and army men came to there house asking them if they saw the guy that did it. they all said no.

Chapter #10

There were air planes flying and every one thought it was just practice but Tommi noticed that it was a Japanese air plane. There were thousands. No new words.

Chapter #9

Billy and Mose are playing baseball right now in the story. They heard that one of there opponents is taller then 6 feet tall and he is in 8th grade. Since they heard about that the went to where he practices. When they were walking these big guys were in there way. Billy tried to get threw but the biggest guy in the group went in his face and told him to leave. The big guy also pushed him. Since he did that Billy punch him. This other big guy yelled at them and told them to scram so they did.They finally got to where they practice. When they so him he looked like he was in college. NEW WORDS:Kaka'ok

Billy was beating Tommy 15 cents that the Yankees would beat the dodgers. They watched the game and the dodgers won so Tommy got 15 cents. NEW words: na

CHPATER #6

This chapter I did under stand.Tomi and Billy when fish. There was a lot of yellow fine tuna. When Tomi and Billy through there hand lines in, a huge tuna grabbed Tomi's line . It took him a long time but when he got it in the boat it weighed about 85 pounds. A tuna grabbed billy's line a little bit after Tomi's fish. When the fish grab the line he let the fish take the line because he did not won't to chop off his fingers. When he disited to grab it the line was 100 yards out. It took Billy about 5 hours to pull up the fish. New Words: Glowered, Burlap, averted.

There is a big war going on in the book and Keet and Tomi and every one were talking about it. Keet asked the question what if one of us got drafted in the war. All of them were scared that they were going to be drafted but Tomi said we don't have to worry. They also were scared that they would lose the war but Tomi said that they had billions of army men and the navy and it would be in possible to lose.

Tomi and Keet Wilson were good friends. One day Keet told Tomi he did not won't to hang out with him any more. Since he said that, Tomi and Keet hated each other. One day Keet came over and was picking on Tomi and Tomi wanted to fight with him so bad but Tomi's dad told him that he can't fight with him. Tomi's dad said that if you fight with Keet every one will not have respected for our family. The next day Keet came over and hit the cages of Tomi's birds. After he hit the cages hey let the birds out. Tomi was very angry. After Keet left Tomi went to Keet's house and talked to him. Keet took Tomi's knife so both of them fought.
